Vivid description of the vision:

• Elundini municipality will be a place where women and children no longer fetch water from long distances, collect and carry heavy logs from afar as a source of energy in order to prepare food for the family and other household chores.
• It will be a place where youth will no longer vagabond in streets because they are unemployed and end up resorting to crime in order to survive. Youth talent shall be nurtured and promoted. Employment and entrepreneurship opportunities will be created for all. An African child shall never be deprived of education because roads are in appalling conditions that make it impossible for them to go to school on rainy days.
• It will be a place where government does not decide on behalf of the people what they want but instead they will be at the centre of their own development.

  • Employees’ expertise, skill, understanding and capacity must be developed and enhanced for increased productivity and significant impact in service delivery.
• Teamwork spirit amongst stakeholders will be promoted during planning and implementation of programs and projects.
• Unemployed people will be skilled and trained through the facilitation of learnerships and internship programmes.
• Facilitate mentorship and coaching of Local entrepreneurs and enterprises in order to run their businesses successfully.
• Active participation of citizens into the affairs of the municipality through consultative and outreach programs to inform policies and priorities of the institution.
